See who'd be eligible for Coronavirus checks

The plan unveiled Thursday night by Senate Republicans to provide direct cash assistance to help Americans hurt by the coronavirus pandemic would send checks of up to $1,200 per person in a one-time payment — and payments would be based on income.

Under the plan, the details of which were revealed on the Senate floor by Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., individuals making up to $75,000 annually would be eligible for a $1,200 check from the federal government.

Married couples who file their taxes jointly would have to make less than $150,000 to qualify for their payment, which would be $2,400.

From there, according to McConnell's proposal, the payments would decrease. For individuals, the sum of the payment would fall by $5 for each $100 earned over $75,000.
The payment would phase out entirely for individuals making more than $99,000 annually, meaning people who make more than that would not get any money from the government, according to the proposal.

For married couples earning more than $150,000, the payment would also decline gradually, and it would phase out completely for couples making more than $198,000, according to the plan.

The checks, however, would reduce to $600 (or $1,200 for married couples) for taxpayers who have little or no income tax liability but have at least $2,500 in qualifying income, according to a GOP summary of the plan.

Individuals and couples with children would be eligible for an additional $500 per each child they have.

"These recommendations would blunt the impact for most Americans and limit the damage to the U.S. economy," Senate Finance Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, said in a statement. "These recommendations won't be the end of the congressional response to the coronavirus."

The income levels the government would review to make the cash payout determinations would be based on 2018 tax returns, McConnell said.
The direct cash payment proposal is part of a broader stimulus package to combat the economic effects of the coronavirus pandemic.

$3000 Per Family starting Next week

The Treasury Department proposed two $250 billion cash infusions to individuals: a first set of checks issued starting April 6, with a second wave in mid-May.

The payments would be $1,000 per adult and $500 per child so that a family of two parents and two children would receive $3,000, Mnuchin told Fox Business Network. The goal is to get that money out in three weeks, he said.

“That’s a lot of money for hard-working Americans,” Mnuchin said.

He said such families would receive another $3,000 six weeks later if the national emergency still exists. Officials have previously said the money is expected to be allocated by income level, to exclude the super-wealthy.

Details on Trump's economic rescue plan are still being worked out — and it's sure to grow beyond $1 trillion, lawmakers said — but its centerpiece is to dedicate $500 billion to start issuing direct payments to Americans, starting early next month.

The emerging package would also funnel cash to businesses to help keep workers on payroll as widespread sectors of the $21 trillion U.S. economy all but shut down.

Breaking: Statement from the Mayor Office

Breaking: Statement from the Mayor Office

Today I signed an executive order that gives the City power to enforce new rules requiring all restaurants, bars and cafes to shift to delivery and take-out only at 8pm tonight, and closing all movie theaters, small theaters, nightclubs and commercial gyms.

We're radically expanding our health care capacity to meet the coming crisis. We're bringing four facilities online to boost capacity by 1,200 new beds. Public hospitals are canceling elective surgeries and discharging patients that no longer require in-patient care to free up 7,000 more beds. More will follow. To EVERY health care worker in our city: active, retired, students — we need you right now. We need your experience and expertise to help protect the lives of our fellow New Yorkers. We are partnering with FEMA to create more drive through testing facilities across the five boroughs. These locations will be for priority patients only.

FEMA's efforts have been encouraging. But we STILL need help from the federal government. At the moment our supply chain is good but we need the federal government to ensure it stays that way. We need the Senate to pass a stimulus. People's lives and livelihoods are on the line.

NYC Public Schools will begin remote learning for students on Monday, March 23.
We'll also convert some school sites into enrichment centers for the children of essential employees like health care workers, transit workers and first responders. We cannot thank our schools staff enough. Educators, custodians, cafeteria workers and all school staff have stepped up to the challenge. Because of your good work, our children will get the food and education they deserve.

We've instituted a ban on price gouging on supplies needed in this crisis, including thermometers, sanitizing and baby wipes, paper towels, latex gloves, face masks, toilet paper and rubbing alcohol. Retailers will be fined for increase the cost of those items by 10% or more.

As of this hour we have 463 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in New York City. I'm sorry to say we have had 2 additional deaths since our last update, bringing the total in our city to 7. We grieve with their families & loved ones.

The actions we take now will affect the way millions of people live. But they’ll save lives. Social distancing, monitoring your health, helping our most vulnerable neighbors: this is EVERY New Yorker's responsibility. It's time to step up.

Like New Yorkers always do.

Statement by the Mayor

All New York City public schools are closed starting tomorrow, Monday, March 16th. They will be closed until at least April 20th when we'll try to re-open them. Next Monday, March 23rd, we will launch remote learning for students K-12. Starting tomorrow, we will have grab and go breakfast and lunch available for students at all schools from 7:30 am — 1 pm. They will be able to pick them up and take them home through the start of spring break, April 8th.

We are going to open dozens of regional enrichment centers across all five borough for the students of first responders, health care workers and transit workers. We are also working on providing technology and connectivity to all students. We will be examining our programming for young people to see what can be moved outdoors as the weather gets warmer. We want to provide positive options to all children during this.

We need our teachers now more than ever. Our students need you. Our families need you. You will be the backbone of serving our children in an unprecedented time and supporting our first responders, health care workers and transit workers.

Tonight we're also cracking down on businesses not following the 50% occupancy rule. Given the nature of the crisis, it’s time for violations to be written. If bars or restaurants feel they cannot stay open, we'll try to help them, but we can't have businesses over 50% capacity.

There are a few more actions we've taken today:
• The special election for Queens Borough President will be postponed.
• We are directing all hospitals to cancel all elective surgeries.
• Senior centers will be closed to all activities other than grab and go meals.

Visit schools.nyc.gov for more information.

Breaking | COVID-19 Global Update

In Feb.11,2020 The WHO announces that novel coronavirus’ formal new name is COVID19.
"Co" stands for coronavirus, "Vi" is for virus and "D" is for disease. Health officials purposely avoid naming COVID-19 after a geographical location, animal or group of people, so as not to stigmatize people or places.

As this moment, USA has reported 305 confirmed positive cases to CDC and 15 Death.

The first COVID-19 death in USA was reported in Washington state, after a man with no travel history to China dies on Feb. 28 at Evergreen Health Medical Center in Kirkland, Washington.

Coincidence, prophecy, or biological warfare?!

In 1981 Dean Koontz published her book “The Eyes of Darkness “The book contained a detailed description of what is happening these days about the spread of the Novel Corona virus.
The Writer has mentioned that the virus would start spreading from Wuhan, China.

In a later paragraph, the character Dombey goes on to say that no one infected with virus survives:
"And Wuhan-400 has other, equally important advantages over most biological agents. For one thing, you can become an infectious carrier only four hours after coming into contact with the virus. That's an incredibly short gestation period. Once infected, no one lives more than twenty-four hours. Most die in twelve. Wuhan-400's kill rate is one hundred percent."

Another Writer Sylvia Browne; in her book “The end of the Days” which publishes in 2008 she Predict Corona virus.
Browne did vaguely write in her 2008 book that a respiratory illness would spread across the globe in 2020.
Browne died in 2013. She gained notoriety for her claims that she could predict the future and communicate with spirits.
