DOE is preparing for the worst case scenario

After many attempts to refuse to close schools in New York State; Imposing the current situation on those in NYC Department of Education to think about the worst-case scenario at all, and how the school closure system will take place for the current academic year.

The department is also printing resource materials for students in grades pre-K through fifth-grade, which will be sent home in the case of a closure or if the student needs to miss an extended period of time.

As it is known that the academic year is180 days of teaching to students.
Is the school year going to be extended to compensate students for what they will miss, or some other plan will be applied?

This is what we will learn in the few upcoming days.
