By order of the Israeli police ... cancel the pilgrimage season to Jerusalem this year
After the Bishops of Jerusalem met with the Israeli police earlier today, the following statement was issued:
- 1- The attendance of the Sabbath of light and festivities is limited to those present in Jerusalem (the meeting between the heads of the sects will take place to determine the limited numbers that will be allowed to enter the church from the people of Jerusalem).
- 2- There is no initial closure of Jerusalem, and there is no cause for concern.
- 3- Bethlehem is initially closed.
- 4- Only a person who has an A3 residence is allowed to enter the country in case he has a place of residence (stone) for 14 days without leaving, and in case of breaking the system, a fine of 7000 shekels.
- 5- The procedures are renewed every day according to the evolving situation, but there will be no retreat in the matter of attending the Sabbath of Light. Also, the prayers will be preserved as they are on time, according to the Estates cu . There is no closure of the Church of the Holy Sepulcher at the current stage.
